A Culture of Continuous Improvement

Description

This session will showcase a sustainable continuous improvement model through a compelling case study of the nursing program at Loma Linda University. Through a unique partnership, Loma Linda and iDesign have worked together to redesign the online RN to BS program.

The goals of this partnership are two-fold; 1. To develop a successful degree program and 2. To implement a Continuous Improvement (CI) program in order to create connections between courses, degree programs and institutional goals and, in turn, support accreditation efforts.

We will share the process of developing course level blueprints and assessments designed to meet the goals of the individual course level outcomes while keeping in mind the overall program goals. Using Coursetune, a collaborative, visual mapping software to ensure alignment of curriculum for continuous improvement, the team has been able to fine tune programmatic outcomes and improve the student learning journey in significant ways.

During the session, you will explore not only the instructional design processes but also the Coursetune software and learn more about how it can be employed to enhance alignment at both course and program levels to implement a culture of continuous improvement.
