Equity and access are two main themes that are found throughout the General Standard 8 Specific Review Standards (SRS). SRS 8.3 is a complex essential standard that requires text and images in files, documents, LMS pages, and web pages to meet the needs of diverse learners. Between the requirements for properly formatting basic images, complex charts, graphs, and infographics, along with tables, documents, PDFs, and different aspects of text, there is a lot to consider when designing digital instructional content.

This presentation will introduce a crosswalk of the NSQ with Universal Design for Learning Guidelines. Participants will explore how this tool can support & promote equitable (re)design of virtual activities and lessons, and share strategies for increasing accessibility in online courses.
In this session, we will highlight how the QM K12 Rubric can be used to support instructional coaching in an asynchronous virtual program. We will provide examples of how the rubric's annotations for K-5 courses can guide teachers in creating effective content. We will also discuss how coaches can use the rubric to provide constructive feedback that improves teacher efficacy and student achievement.
