This workshop introduces educators to the use of AI in creating effective assessment tools. Participants will learn to harness AI technology to generate course design rubrics, critically assess and improve AI-produced rubrics for precision and efficacy, and seamlessly integrate these enhanced rubrics into their Learning Management System. This hands-on session aims to streamline the rubric creation process while ensuring high-quality, fair assessment standards.

Participants will receive a digital credential for completing ALL three self-paced workshops and the AI Horizons Virtual Workshop (Sept. 5 -  1:00 pm to 3 pm ET).

Learning Objectives
  1. Evaluate and refine AI-generated rubrics for accuracy and effectiveness.
  2. Implement AI-enhanced rubrics in the Learning Management System.
  3. Generate assignment and grading rubrics using AI technology, demonstrating an understanding of AI's capabilities in creating effective assessment tools.
  4. Critically evaluate and refine AI-produced grading rubrics to ensure accuracy, fairness, and alignment with learning objectives.
  5. Integrate enhanced AI-generated rubrics into their Learning Management System, streamlining the grading process and improving assessment consistency.

Special Notes

For Summer Camp session — the workshop will be open to registered participants from July 29, 2025 - August 29, 2025. Register until August 18, 2025 to complete coursework by September 7, 2025.

Workshops open monthly on the first Wednesday and close after three weeks. The work is self-paced with a portfolio assignment submitted to a facilitator upon completion (prior to workshop closure).
