Exploring Your Institution's Policies

In this workshop, you will explore the following seven policy areas related to teaching online at your institution:
- Classroom behavior and learner discipline
- Academic integrity
- Academic reporting and learner privacy
- Copyright
- Accessibility
- Instructor evaluation
- Other institutional policies
Each module begins with a scenario that prompts you to consider what you would do in the given situation, followed by resources, examples, and a “Policy Exploration” assignment in which you investigate your institution’s policies and concludes with a discussion where you can discuss your findings, questions, and experiences with your colleagues.

Ability to Read and Write Standard Business English
- Asynchronous (online) option: A minimum commitment of 19 hours total is recommended for achieving the learning objectives.
- Virtual (Synchronous + Asynchronous Component) option: Participation in the synchronous session(s) is required along with the completion of assignment(s) in the QM LMS.
Virtual sessions are held in Engageli and occur one day after the workshop begins. A Canvas site will be available with details for the Virtual Session and information about Engageli. Note that Engageli requires Chrome or Edge browsers; Firefox is not compatible.
