AI-Driven Discussions
This workshop helps educators use AI to make online discussions better. Learn to use AI tools to create interesting discussion topics that students care about. Discover how to personalize discussions for each student and use AI to track student participation. This workshop will help you create engaging and effective online discussions using the power of AI.
Participants will receive a digital credential for completing ALL three self-paced workshops and the AI Horizons Virtual Workshop (Sept. 5 - 1:00 pm to 3 pm ET).
- Leverage AI tools to generate relevant and timely discussion prompts that align with current trends and real-world issues, enhancing student engagement in online course discussions.
- Implement strategies for using AI-generated insights to personalize discussion topics and adapt them to individual student learning preferences and needs, fostering a more tailored learning experience.
- Utilize AI-driven analytics to efficiently monitor and evaluate student participation in discussions, enabling more effective assessment of student understanding and timely adjustments to instructional strategies.

10-15 hours over the three week open period for the workshop to complete coursework
For Summer Camp sessions — the workshop will be open to registered participants from July 29, 2025 - August 29, 2025. Register until August 18, 2025 to complete coursework by September 7, 2025.
Workshops open monthly on the first Wednesday and close after three weeks. The work is self-paced with a portfolio assignment submitted to a facilitator upon completion (prior to workshop closure).
