What is the cancellation policy for QM online professional development?
Quality Matters Cancellation Policy for Courses, Workshops and Virtual Workshops

Registration in a Quality Matters course or workshop indicates acceptance of this Cancellation Policy.

Quality Matters reserves the right to refuse or cancel a registration or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances that would make it nonviable. Registrants affected by a postponement may choose either a full refund or a transfer to the same course or workshop on the rescheduled date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Registration cancellations received at least 24 hours prior to the course or workshop start date are eligible to receive a full refund. The participant, QM Coordinator, or credit card holder must make the refund request. Registration cancellations received on or after the course or workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund, regardless of participation. Participants who have not prepaid will be invoiced and responsible for the full workshop/course fee.

Failure to begin, log in to, or participate in a course or workshop does not constitute a cancellation. Participants who do not attend or start the course after the start date remain responsible for the full registration fee and are not eligible for a refund.

Refund requests must include the name and email address of the attendee and/or transaction number. Cancellation requests must be submitted via the “Need Help” ticket request and received at least 24 hours prior to the course or workshop start date. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment. All benefits and incentives received by the participant must be canceled/returned to Quality Matters.

QM may be able to support requests to move participants to a workshop with a different start date. Requests to reschedule the start date for a workshop/course must be received prior to the start date of the session. Requests to reschedule received on or after the start date will not be approved. Participants must register for a new session and pay the full course or workshop fee for both sessions.

Virtual Workshops: Quality Matters is not responsible for the inability of any participant to participate due to technical issues beyond our control. Participants are encouraged to conduct a technical and sound check at least one (1) day prior to the scheduled start time of the virtual workshop on the computer that will be used for the workshop. The participant should allow enough time for any local technical support to prepare the computer. Instructions for participation in the virtual workshop and completion of a technical check are sent via email upon registration and again prior to the start of the virtual workshop.

These refund policies apply to all Quality Matters registrations unless otherwise noted. Please read all individual workshop and course descriptions and program information thoroughly before registering. Please submit a “Need Help” request with any questions regarding the cancellation policy.

Quality Matters “Goods and Product Refund/Return Policy states: All returns of goods and materials purchased directly from Quality Matters require prior authorization. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable; Quality Matters must authorize returns within (30) days of purchase.
