The “Designing Your Hybrid Course” workshop explores the eight General Standards in the QM Rubric and provides a framework to build a hybrid course. While QM recognizes that each institution will define "hybrid" in its own way, this framework will work with any combination of face-to-face and online elements. Participants use the QM Rubric to review key hybrid elements and develop a plan for one module for your hybrid course.

Learning Objectives
  1. Identify the origin and scope of Quality Matters.
  2. Recognize the key definitions for hybrid course elements.
  3. Recognize essential elements of hybrid courses.
  4. Identify the QM Rubric Specific Review Standards that have additional requirements for hybrid courses.
  5. Apply the QM Specific Review Standards to a “module” in one of your hybrid courses.
  6. Identify specific strengths and areas for improvement of your course objectives, assessments, materials, activities, and tools.
