Institution Representative Training Online Course

Course Information

Who? The Institution Representative Training (IRT) is a self-paced course that is intended for individuals within an institution who will act as the liaison between the faculty and Quality Matters (QM).

What will you learn? As the institution’s primary point of contact for QM, you will learn about QM’s program and how it can support your institution’s quality assurance initiatives, how to manage course reviews, and how to locate QM resources.

What should you do? You should complete the institution survey, readings, and other activities.

What recognition will you receive? You can print a certificate of completion.

Course-Level Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the Institution Representative Training (IRT), you will be able to:

1. Identify the different uses of the QM Rubric, types of course reviews, and training opportunities that will address your institution’s needs.    
2. Know the location of and availability of QM materials, where to post different QM documents, and how to safeguard QM’s intellectual property. 
3. Use the QM Rubric set-up wizard to start an internal course review and learn to tell the difference between an internal, official (subscriber-managed), or QM-managed course review.   
4. Understand the specific components of the official course review standards, including the reporting requirements, and how to run more efficient and cost-effective course reviews.

Eligibility

Institution Representative Training (IRT) is available for basic and full subscribers only. Full subscribers complete four modules; basic subscribers complete three modules.
